Churchill, Manitoba, the “World Polar Bear Capital” attracts visitors from around the globe. But as climate change brings polar bears closer to human settlements, some are branded a nuisance and removed from their ancient paths. Through the perspectives of polar bears, local residents, and the Inuit community of Arviat, “Nuisance Bear” explores a changing Arctic where tourism, survival, and belonging collide. When a sacred predator is declared a problem, it raises a deeper question: who truly belongs in this shared landscape?

Churchill, Manitoba, die „Eisbären-Hauptstadt“ zieht Besucher aus aller Welt an. Doch wenn Eisbären auf der Suche nach Nahrung näher an Siedlungen kommen und als Störenfriede gelten, stellt sich die Frage: Wer darf bleiben – Mensch oder Tier?
